The VERITAS Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the “Foundation”) attaches particular importance to respecting the privacy of Users visiting the Foundation’s website. We care about ensuring that every User knows exactly what data we collect and how they can protect their privacy.

By using the Foundation’s website, you accept the principles of the Privacy Policy. The collected data is transmitted in two ways:

1. Information provided directly and voluntarily by the User, for example, in contact forms (e.g., when asking questions to the organizers).
2. Information obtained during the use of the services by Users. Servers automatically record the following User data:

• Time of response sent by the server,
• User’s device IP address,
• User’s request (address of the page the User entered),
• Referrer link address in case the transition to the page occurred via a link,
• Information about the User’s internet browser version,
• Information about the User’s operating system version.

As part of the Foundation’s website activities, cookies files stored on Users’ end devices are also used. Cookies (so-called “cookies”) are small text files sent by the visited website to the User’s device.

The Foundation’s services use two types of cookies:

1. “Session” cookies – temporary files that are stored on the User’s end device until the end of the session (e.g., leaving the website, deleting them by the User, or closing the browser).
2. “Persistent” cookies – stored on the User’s end device for the time specified in the cookie file parameters or until they are deleted by the User.

Each User can customize their cookie settings in the browser. Failure to change these settings implies acceptance of the cookies used therein. Most internet browsers allow storing cookies on the User’s computer by default. Users can independently change these settings at any time, including blocking cookies. However, it should be remembered that changes to cookie settings resulting in limiting their use may cause some features of the Foundation’s website to not function properly.

The Foundation’s website uses cookies for the following purposes:

• Maintaining User session IDs (whose data is stored on the server and not transmitted to the User’s browser),
• Handling statistical scripts,
• Creating and displaying personalized ads with information about the Foundation’s activities,
• Facilitating Users in using the Foundation’s website.

For these purposes, the Foundation uses widely available on the market internet technologies for monitoring traffic on the Foundation’s website and optimizing the display of marketing and promotional content. The Foundation’s website collects anonymous data about visited pages, such as:

• Number of unique visits/views,
• Country,
• Browser,
• Visit time.

The data is collected using external provider solutions. Currently, we use Google Analytics, the SARE newsletter system, and tools provided by Facebook. Please familiarize yourself with the details of the Google Analytics privacy policy, the SARE privacy policy, and Facebook’s data policies.

The Foundation makes every effort to protect the Foundation’s website from unauthorized access by third parties and to control the methods of collecting, processing, and storing information. We use, among others, firewall and server security devices. Access to data is granted only to employees and entities that must have access to them to process them solely for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to change the Privacy Policy by publishing its new content on the website www.festival.soundsoffveritas.com.
